Service Description
People with TBI may have changes to their personality, trouble with memory, confusion, poor judgment, and they may be tired, depressed, or anxious. The changes to the brain after TBI can affect people’s mental health as well as their ability to do daily activities. It definitely affects their roles. Although TBI can affect physical and emotional levels of functioning, many people, (due to neuroplasticity and the brains ability to heal and remap pathways) with TBI learn to live valued and productive lives, however, the need to adjust one's role expectations create serious issues. This workshop explores the affects of role loss and confusion from a TBi and trauma perspective on the brain injury survivor.
